I have 2 of the 6.6 gallon tanks & one 16 gallon. Only negative is without a lid, water evaporates quicker & I need to top off the tanks every 2-3 days. My cats also have a bad habit of taking a sip from the larger 16 gallon that’s low enough for them to reach. I’ve got 2 bettas & a nerite snail. None have tried to escape without there being a lid.I cringed when I opened the box containing the two 6.6 gallons. Amazon just stuck the two boxes inside with no extra packing. Thankfully they were not damaged. The 16 gallon came packed inside a wooden crate that my dad had to open with a crow bar.No leaks from any of the tanks. Looks nice. Easy to clean.I am no fish tank expert and don't have dozens to compare to, but I've been around trades and manufacturing my entire life and know what quality looks like. This tank has to be the same quality as the more expensive brands priced a tier above. The glass is the same thickness as those brands, the silicone joints are top notch, the edges are squared flush with the other panels, the glass is very clear and appears to be of high quality. It is packaged very well to avoid damage and stress on the joints during shipping. I cannot account for long-term durability though, only analyzing from experience and short-term use. I don't think the joints can be done much better, I have used my fair share of adhesives and silicone for a broad range of applications. With that said, I know any tank can fail no matter the price you pay, I would bet my money that this tank isn't more likely to fail than those of more expensive brands. I don't review often, but was very happy with this find at its price point.So far I’ve had this tank for about a week and it is beautiful. It makes my aquascape “pop” ❤️ The glass is sturdy and thick i love this tank!When I ordered this aquarium, there was one left in stock. Set up a delivery day for 2 weeks later so I could be home for delivery. That day, I waited, and waited, and waited. They sent me an email stating that the delivery day was postponed since there was none at the nearest warehouse and they would email me when it would become available. I was a little upset to hear of the postponed shipment the day of delivery when I had taken the day off off work for this delivery. I waited another week with no update. I contacted an amazon rep, they had tried to push me into cancelling the order even after I had received and set up the stand for this. I could even see that there was a supply available but couldn't figure out why there was no follow through. Then I contacted Landen directly and they had gotten the ball rolling again and I was able to set up a delivery day again. So after a month from original purchase, I had received my tank.The tank is absolutely beautiful. Pristine seams, flawless glass. Well packaged. I was a bit worried about the integrity of it when I had seen how the delivery guys handled it and the condition of the box, but it was all intact. I love the Landen brand but I think I will pass on buying something like this through amazon again.This aquarium looks awesome. Definitely high quality, thick glass. I’m very impressed with the quality. I’m we have purchased quite a few rimless tanks in the past and this one is by far the best.happy as a pig with a new rope..... clear glass better view of contents.Impressed with strength cause I was worried about breaking it. Wish I had gone bigger.Ordered the 6.6 gal to do a nano ecosystem tank with shrimp and maybe 2 or 3 micro fish. I even measured before I purchased and somehow it still just looks bigger to me in person. It's a little bigger than I was hoping for - I actually really wanted the 5 gal but I couldn't make the dimensions work for my space (but I feel like I'll end up ordering that one too for somewhere else anyway haha). That said, it's not really a complaint so much as surprise for me. I feel like the glass is extra clear, but also maybe I just want it to be and their marketing is working, idk. Either way, lovely there. And the glass panes actually have a nice subtle bevel to the edge which was a HUGE perk to me that I didn't know I was getting - this subtle detail, to me, takes this tank to the next level. Just received the tank today, tested for leaks and as of 5 hours after holding water, no leaks. Definitely would buy again.I liked it so much I had to buy another. Hope to buy at least one more soon. Got the 6.6 gallon versions for aquascaping shrimp tanks. Flawless glass and seams.
